Justin Heinrich Knecht (1752-1817) was a Swiss composer and organist. He was born in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, and studied music with Johann Gottfried Müthel in Altona, Germany. Knecht is best known for his hymn tunes and chorales, which were widely used in Germany and other parts of Europe during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He also composed a number of secular works, including sonatas and symphonies. Knecht died in Rheinfelden in 1817.
