Sigfrid Karg-Elert
Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877-1933) was a German composer and organist who is known for his compositions for organ as well as for reed organ.
He was born in Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany, and studied music at the Leipzig Conservatory, where he studied with Jadassohn, Reinecke, Reisenauer and Teichmüller.
Karg-Elert was known for his innovative and expressive compositions, which often incorporated elements of Impressionism and Expressionism. He wrote a wide range of music, including symphonies, choral works, and many chorale preludes.
